Intent & Signals
Intent and signal tools tell you which accounts are worth contacting this week rather than in general, by watching behavior that happens before anyone fills out a form. Buyers are demand gen and outbound teams with more addressable accounts than capacity, and revenue ops teams building account scoring. Three sources sit inside the category: website visitor identification that resolves anonymous traffic to a company or, in some cases, a person, third party intent from publisher and review site networks showing research happening elsewhere, and event based signals such as hiring, funding, technology changes and job moves. The signal is probabilistic in every case, and resolution rates swing widely by traffic mix and region, so run a paid pilot on your own site before committing to a year. Compare the pricing model, usually a flat platform fee or a charge per resolved company, and where the underlying data actually comes from.
