AI BDR tools, from autonomous agents to assisted humans
An AI BDR is sold as a person, which makes the category harder to evaluate than it looks. Underneath the job title there are three quite different purchases. Some vendors ship a finished worker that picks accounts, writes, sends and answers replies, with the contact data and the email infrastructure included. Some ship the parts, a channel, an agent builder or a data layer, and expect your team to assemble the rep around them. And some keep a human in the seat and use AI to strip out the manual work: the research, the first draft, the dialing, the reply triage. Start with the pilot you can actually run. Check what list the agent works from, because an agent without an owned database inherits whatever you feed it. Check who owns deliverability, since the vendors that buy and warm mailboxes remove a whole failure mode. Check whether replies go out without a human seeing them, and what the approval controls look like. Then check the meter: seats, contacts researched, credits or leads per month all behave differently at scale. Prices below are as published in July and August 2026.
Products sold as a worker: they choose the accounts, write the message, send it and answer the reply without a rep driving each step.
Runs two agents rather than one, Alice outbound and Julian answering inbound by phone, with the lead database, buying signals and managed email deliverability held inside the platform so there is less to assemble. Nothing is priced publicly and there is no self serve signup, checked August 2026.

The fullest version of the promise: 250M+ contacts claimed in house, waterfall enrichment, signal based plays and autonomous reply handling, fenced by approval modes, budget caps and locked tone. Their own pages say Ava does not make phone calls, and the dialer is a separate per seat add on. Every tier is quoted.

The self serve end of autonomy: sign up, connect HubSpot, and the platform buys and warms the mailboxes before running email, LinkedIn and Aircall steps. Solo is $250 a month month to month, while Explore and Scale sit on quarterly contracts and there is no free trial, per their pricing in August 2026.

Holds the whole LinkedIn or WhatsApp conversation itself and flags for human intervention when it stalls, with voice cloning on the $189 Pro tier. Read the sender model before buying: outreach can run from Fractional SDR profiles, real accounts rented from their affiliate network, per their founder's AppSumo answers, July 2026.

Systems that supply the parts, the channel or the data, and expect your team to assemble the rep around them.
For teams that would rather own the logic than buy the outcome: agents and Workforces are wired on a canvas from templates including Bosh, their sales agent, with human approval steps available. There is no contact database and no sending infrastructure underneath, so whatever you connect sets the ceiling on what the agent can do.

Supplies the LinkedIn and email channel plus the AI layer, voice clone, video avatar and an Appointment Setter that carries the thread in copilot or autopilot, but not the list. Leads come from your own Sales Navigator searches or a CSV, and each email address costs three credits.

Buys the whole toolkit from one vendor: an owned database marketed at 200M+ profiles, multichannel sequences, a deliverability suite and Duo for copywriting, voice and reply handling. Only the Startup tier publishes a figure, $600 a month on an annual term including two users, per their pricing in August 2026.

Tools that keep a named human as the sender and use AI to remove the manual work around them.
Automates what sits around a real rep on LinkedIn: sequences with connection requests, post comments, voice notes and a per lead AI video that arrives in the thread as a file, plus a 300M+ contact database and sentiment alerts on replies. $59 per sender per month in August 2026, and LinkedIn is the only sending channel today.

Aimed at the BDR who still cold calls: parallel dialing with number rotation, call transcription and scoring, roleplay practice bots and a virtual salesfloor so managers can listen in on a distributed team. Pricing is by quote with nothing published, checked August 2026.

The infrastructure half of a human run email motion: unlimited sending accounts, a very large warmup pool and an AI reply agent working the unified inbox. Outreach Growth is $37.60 per month on annual billing in August 2026, with database credits metered on a separate axis from sending.

A product that automates the business development rep's workflow rather than one step of it: building the target list, researching each account, writing and sending the first touch across email or LinkedIn, then reading and answering the reply. The autonomous versions also book the meeting on a connected calendar. Where vendors differ most is whether the contact data and the sending infrastructure are included or expected from you.
The published evidence does not support treating it as a headcount decision. Outcome figures in this category, such as more meetings per rep or a given positive reply rate, are the vendors' own case study numbers. TechCrunch reported in March 2025 that 11x had displayed customer logos for companies that were not active customers and that former employees described a high rate of early contract exits, and individual Trustpilot reviewers describe engagements that produced no booked meetings. A defined pilot segment is a safer first step.
Among the vendors that publish anything, AiSDR starts at $250 a month for Solo and runs to $2,500 on Scale, Second Brain Labs is $99 for Starter and $189 for Pro, and Amplemarket's Startup tier is $600 a month on an annual term. 11x, Artisan and Nooks publish no prices at all. Pricing is usually metered by contacts or leads per month rather than seats, so the bill tracks reach. All figures as published in July and August 2026.
A defined ideal customer profile, a sending identity, and somewhere for the reply to go. Beyond that it depends on the model: agents with an owned database and managed mailboxes need only the ICP, while builders such as Relevance AI and channel tools such as SalesRobot need you to supply the list, the data provider and often the mailboxes. Most also want CRM sync so booked meetings and activity land where the team already works.
One of these tools is ours.
Weezly is in this directory too: LinkedIn outreach with AI clone videos, a 300M+ leads database and booking, from $59 per month. See if it earns a spot in your stack.
