What is Email and account warm-up?
Also known as: email warming, account warming
Warm-up is the process of gradually increasing sending activity on a new email domain or LinkedIn account to build a healthy reputation. Ramping up slowly signals to providers that you are a real, trustworthy sender rather than a spammer.
A brand-new email domain that immediately sends hundreds of cold emails looks exactly like a spammer to email providers. Warm-up ramps volume over days and weeks, often starting with a handful of emails a day and building up.
The same principle applies to LinkedIn accounts: a new account should send far fewer connection requests and messages per day than an established one, increasing activity gradually as the account builds standing.
Weezly applies this to LinkedIn automatically by tying each account's daily activity limits to its Social Selling Index, so newer or lower-SSI accounts send more conservatively.
